NBL legend and host The Run Home with Andy & Gazey, Andrew Gaze, said: “Anticipation for the upcoming season is higher than ever, and it’s great that fans around the country will now be able to enjoy all the action live on SEN.”

The network’s coverage of the NBL will commence from Round 1 of the 2022/23 season, beginning on Saturday 1 October.

This comes after the network secured the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup broadcast rights, allowing the stations to broadcast every match to sports fans throughout Australia and New Zealand this week.

The broadcast will be part of a joint production between network and the Channel 2 Group who are the ICC’s exclusive global audio rights holder.

Chief sports caller, Gerard Whateley, will be leading the charge in commentary, with further broadcasting talent to be announced in the coming weeks.

All eyes will be on the match between New Zealand v Australia, which will be extensively covered across the network on Saturday 22 October.

Ajay Sethi, chairman and MD of Channel 2 Group Corporation said: “I am very delighted that this prestigious sporting event like ICC T20 World Cup 2022 is taking place in Australia. I am also delighted that SEN will be creating world class audio commentary to reach 100 plus countries and 1.2 billion around the world from this world feed.”
