Ross Coulthart returns to 60 Minutes

60 Minutes executive producer Tom Malone signs Ross Coulthart as he quits Sunday Night.

The Nine Network has announced Ross Coulthart (pictured) is going home and joining 60 Minutes.

Coulthart is one of Australia’s leading investigative reporters, winning five Walkley awards, including the Gold Walkley for his investigation into Graeme Reeves for the Sunday program in 2008.

60 Minutes executive producer Tom Malone made the announcement and said: “For 36 years, 60 Minutes has led the way in authentic and relevant long form current affairs television, and Ross’ return to Nine will enhance our already formidable team.

Some of Ross’ best reports were broadcast on the Sunday program between 1995 and 2008 so I’m thrilled he’s coming back to Nine, and to 60 Minutes.”

Ross Coulthart said of his decision. “I’m delighted to be returning to Channel Nine, the place where I got my first start in TV. It feels like coming home in a way. 60 Minutes is the holy grail of journalism jobs and I am honoured to be finding a new place at the

Network where it all started for me – back with so many of my mates at Nine, and I’m looking forward to breaking some great yarns.”
