Nova 100’s Ben, Liam & Belle has welcomed Toni Lodge as a regular special guest.
Lodge, who is the co-host of the Spotify exclusive podcast – Toni & Ryan, alongside Ryan Jon, will join the breakfast trio each Monday, starting April 24th.
Lodge will join the breakfast show to talk about life in general as well as her new memoir, I Don’t Need Therapy (and other lies I’ve told myself), which is riding high on the Non-Fiction bestseller lists.
Her memoir takes readers on a journey covering the whole spectrum of emotion as she comes to terms with some home truths about herself.
Lodge has worked as a producer in Sydney and Perth and was a breakfast producer at KIIS101.1 Melbourne.
After Lodge and Jon first met on a KIISFM Summer Breakfast show, they took their real and raunchy friendship to the world of TikTok and Instagram.
They have since amassed a following of local and international and from there began a daily podcast which has been a hit in Australia reaching number two on podcast charts and also is a hit in the US, Canada, NZ and UK.
Toni and Ryan’s videos have also been viewed by more than one billion people around the world and they have amassed close to three million Followers.
Lodge’s addition to the show comes after Ben, Liam & Belle took over the airwaves as the new Nova 100 new breakfast show, last year on December 5.
Looking to the year ahead Liam Stapleton said of the show’s plans: “We’ve always tried to do bigger things – look at the history of the show from our community radio days, even then we were trying to do things to make noise. Throughout the years – you can certainly see after Triple J and coming to Nova – when there are bigger teams and bigger budgets available, you’re allowed to pull off more spectacular things.
“We’ve already had a few ideas thrown out there to the team that probably made them go, ‘okay, interesting. I don’t know if we’ll make that work’. But we’re often surprised by what the people at Nova can help pull off.”
