What a great idea to spinoff the concept of a skit on The Weekly with Charlie Pickering into an original new quiz show! Tom Gleeson insults and berates the contestants, but they are in on the joke and give it back to him in spades. It is almost a requirement for quiz show hosts to be jovial and excitable but the hilarious Gleeson might prove that being cranky can be even more fun.
In the upcoming issue of Mediaweek magazine, Gleeson talks about his new show and reveals which TEN game show he’d auditioned for.

She’s on The Block. And Selling Houses Australia. Last week she was on Upper Middle Bogan. And this week she finally has her own show. TV Tonight wonders if overseeing a half million dollar renovation for one couple is “out of touch with middle Australia”. But Blaze assures the website that cheaper renovation jobs are coming and then tells News Corp that it’s all about taking people “on an amazing journey in their own home”. “I basically have a psychology degree,” she said – which basically means, she doesn’t. At this rate a psychology series is probably coming next – but with a really great (designer) couch.
