Frontier Media - Brendan Harper, Leanne Hood and Juliana Ramirez

Hood joins the media agency as account director, as Ramirez steps into the role of account executive

Frontier Media, part of the VMG network, welcomed two appointments as it grows its national footprint while also strengthening its skill set in the Queensland market.

Joining the media agency as account director Leanne Hood and account executive Juliana Ramirez. Both appointments are effective immediately.

With a wealth of offline media and marketing experience, Hood also brings a strong background in digital media to Frontier Media, having worked at publishers and programmatic trading desks, as well as in agency digital specialist roles for the past 15 years.

Hood joins the agency from the Nine Network, where she was a digital advertising sales executive, following stints at Pivotus as programmatic digital sales manager, and UM Brisbane as a digital specialist, to educate and integrate digital media into offline planning teams.

Ramirez, originally from Colombia, has worked with Mediacom and Initiative, as part of the media planning team for Unilever brands including Dove, Rexona, Lynx and Sunsilk, before moving to Australia in 2015.

Ramirez comes to Frontier Media from Network 10 where she was one of the commercial allocation executives.

Both Hood and Ramirez will report to Frontier Media general manager and group client director, Brendan Harper.

Harper said: “I am thrilled to welcome Leanne and Juliana to the Frontier Media team.

“Their combined experience, particularly in developing strong client relationships and delivering across multiple channels, will help to enhance the scope and depth of services to our clients, while also allowing us to extend the strong omnichannel media experience we currently carry in market.

“Leanne has extensive experience in the Queensland media market – her appointment is timely as we are ready to welcome new clients to our roster and continue to establish ourselves as a local Queensland based agency servicing an increasingly national presence.”

The new appointments come as Frontier Media looks to increase its capacity as it works towards its growth and expansion plans.

Harper said: “Frontier is very much focused on the long game – we’re looking forward to realising the initial phases of our mid to long-term goals for our clients and celebrating their successes, as well as our own in 2023.

“We’re also excited to continue working with our many trusted media partners to help deliver success for the entire Frontier Media client family.”

Hood said of her appointment: “I’m excited to join the Frontier Media team. From the get-go, Frontier Media has felt like a good fit – I’ve always loved delivering integrated client solutions that run across multiple channels and Frontier Media has a strong reputation for omnichannel campaigns.

“Having worked in media in London, Melbourne and Sydney, I returned to Brisbane in 2009 to raise my family. I have a deep understanding of the Queensland market and I look forward to delivering for our client stable.”
