Eurovision 2015 begins!

Eurovision first results and Guy Sebastian introduced to audience during first semifinal

Sixteen artists have performed in the first semifinal from Vienna with SBS broadcasting the event live with hosts Julia Zemiro and Sam Pang. The program will be replayed Friday night while the second semifinal will be aired live Friday morning at 7am for replay Saturday night.

Australians were able to vote for the 16 artists and our votes helped these countries through to Sunday’s final:

Albania – Elhaida Dani with “I’m Alive”
Armenia – Genealogy with “Face the Shadow”
Russia – Polina Gagarina with “A Million Voices”
Romania –Voltaj with “All Over Again”
Hungary – Boggie Stamenoz with “Beauty Never Lies”
Greece – Maria-Elena with “One Last Breath”
Estonia – Elina Born & Stig Rasta with “Goodbye to Yesterday”
Georgia – Nina Sublatti with “Warrior”
Serbia – Bojana Stamenov with “Beauty Never Lies”
Belgium – Loic Nottet with “Rhythm Inside”

Guy Sebastian didn’t perform today, but he did speak on air with the SBS hosts and then toward the end of the broadcast he was interviewed on stage and viewers got to hear some of his song and see a video clip.
