Escape has announced the launch of a dedicated commerce content destination, Escape Deals

The new ecosystem will allow users to research, plan and book a holiday. Editorial director of food, health and travel Kerrie McCallum said Escape Deals is the final piece of the puzzle in offering a 360 degree experience to the Escape audience. 

“We’ve worked really hard on building a highly engaged digital audience of travel intenders over the past few years and as a result we are leading the category in offering trusted inspiration and advice to more than 1.7 million Australians every month,” McCallum said.

“They will not only be able to plan and share their experiences, they will also be able to book them too.

“Through Escape Deals we will offer amazing international and domestic deals, experiences and hotels they can book on the spot, along with bespoke itinerary planning from a trusted retailer within 24 hours of submitting a question.

“We will also be able to curate the best deals, to create compelling print, digital and social content to help our audience find their most memorable holidays yet. It’s a really exciting part of our content and service offering that will continue to help Escape innovate and meet the needs of our audience.”

News Corp Australia’s director of e-commerce Adam Kron added that Escape Deals will “provide a seamless experience”.

“Escape Deals will include exclusive deals from a marketplace of travel providers across tours, packages, hotels and experience, focusing on the destinations that users love and prefer,” he said.

“It will also incorporate listings and offers from Australia’s most well-known retailers of travel packages and services into the Escape ecosystem. A win-win for our clients and our audience.”

Escape has a cross-platform audience of 4.016 million. The brand ecosystem consists of the weekly print insert in News Corp Australia’s Sunday state masthead, website, video content, eDM and social channels.
