Cameron: “SCA has delivered another strong set of metro results today with both the Hit Network and Triple M network”

SCA’s chief content officer, Dave Cameron, praised the network for achieving strong results in the Survey 7 metro radio ratings.

Cameron said: “SCA has delivered another strong set of metro results today with both the Hit Network and Triple M network continuing to dominate their target 25-54 men and women demographics nationally.

“Overall, Hit is the no. 1 commercial network with the largest audience of 4.382 million and Triple M has grown its cume audience by 40,000 last survey to 3.056 million. The SCA network has reached its highest cume audience ever with 6.105 million listeners.”

“Today’s results reflect 2DayFM Sydney’s great momentum, delivering strong share increases across Breakfast, Mornings, Afternoons and Drive, and adding another 55,000 weekly audience to again lead WSFM in total audience cume, and now beating Nova in workday share,” he said.

“The Fox continues to be the most listened to station in Melbourne with more than 1.3 million weekly cume, and Triple M Melbourne has delivered another record cume with strong results for both The Marty Sheargold Show in Breakfast, and JB and Billy on The Rush Hour Drive show.

Fox continues to lead the market in cume which is a strong result with five FM stations all posting cume audiences over 1m. The Fox cume remains #1 1.345m. All dayparts continue to contribute, led by Drive with Carrie & Tommy remaining steady with a 10.2% share.

Breakfast with Fifi, Fev and Nick is on 7.4% after a 1.5 point dip. Fox grabbed top spot for 18-24 (overtaking KIIS) in the last survey, and has kept that title after a 3.3 point increase brought it to an 18% share. Fox is also top in 25-39.

Cameron said: “Brisbane’s B105 is No.1 overall again and is also now No.1 in Breakfast with Stav, Abby and Matt, closely followed by Triple M in third spot in Brisbane.”

After some strong lifts recently, B105 has dropped slightly. The station is down 0.1 points with a 13.2% share. Despite the drop, it keeps the title as #1 overall station in the Brisbane market.

The station’s breakfast show of Stav, Abby and Matt come out as the top breakfast show in the market, lifting 0.3 points for a 13.9% share,  taking the crown from Nova.

Dave Cameron also noted: “Both Carrie and Tommy in Drive and Abbie Chatfield’s Hot Nights continue to increase their national audience share.”
