ESPN

5 NBA clashes, 2 NFL blockbusters and an NBL tripleheader with 6 teams across 3 states

ESPN is promising sports fans plenty of action across the Christmas weekend and beyond, with over 20 hours of live NFL, NBA and NBL on Boxing Day alone.

Sunday December 26 will see five consecutive live NBA games back-to-back, two live NFL playoff defining clashes on ESPN2 and three big NBL matches, live on the ESPN App*.

The hoops marathon begins at 4am AEDT with the Atlanta Hawks and New York Knicks, kicking things off.

The NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks follow at 7am AEDT, as they face the Boston Celtics.

The NFL then joins the action at 8.30am AEDT on ESPN2, with the Cleveland Browns and Green Bay Packers facing off in the first of two, back-to-back live games.

The feature NBA match comes at 9.30am AEDT, live on ESPN, when the top two teams in the Western Conference collide – as the Golden State Warriors face the Phoenix Suns.

The defending Western Conference champion Suns have continued their hot streak this season, and are currently riding a three-game winning stretch.

However, Golden State are snipping at their heels, and lie only half a game behind in second spot, meaning victory will see them become the best of the West.

The blockbusters continue at 12pm AEDT on Boxing Day as the Brooklyn Nets face off with the star-studded Los Angeles Lakers.

Brooklyn currently lead the Eastern Conference, holding a slender margin over the in-form Bulls and Cavs.

At 12pm AEDT on ESPN2, more NFL as the Indianapolis Colts meet the Arizona Cardinals.

It is not just the NBA and NFL in the spotlight on Boxing Day either, with the National Basketball League firing up later in the day, with a live triple header, available on the ESPN App*.

Action begins at 1pm AEDT, when the Tasmanian JackJumpers host the New Zealand Breakers, before the Sydney Kings and Melbourne United resume their battle at 3pm AEDT.

Then, at 5.30pm AEDT, the Brisbane Bullets and Cairns Taipans clash, in an all-Queensland affair.

All three NBL matches will also be offered live on Fox Sports More (507) and Kayo Sports, as well as the App*.
