• The Australian Box Office has grossed $6.68 million this week

The Australian Box Office has grossed $6.68 million this week, averaging $1,494 over 4,474 screens. Overall this is up 17%, with last week bringing in  $5.59 million.

There are two new entries to the top five this week: Those Who Wish Me Dead and Spiral: From The Book Of Saw.

Debuting to the third position, Spiral: From the Book of Saw is the ninth film in the wildly popular Saw franchise. It is written by Josh Stolberg and Peter Goldfinger, and directed by Darren Lynn Bousman – his fourth film of the series.

Dropping out of the top five this week is Peter Rabbit 2, and finally – after a mammoth eight weeks in the top five – Godzilla Vs. Kong.

With the top five this week being made up of two films rated R18+, two rated MA15+, and one rated M, it seems the family-friendly fun of the Easter long weekend is well and truly over.
