91.9 Sea FM has announced its new local drive show Elly & Becks.

After spending the last two years hosting the number one breakfast show in Shepparton, Elly Chaney is looking forward to experiencing everything the Sunshine Coast has to offer, while working with Becks to bring local drive to the Sunshine Coast on 91.9 SEA FM.

“I love sunshine and I love the coast so accepting this job and joining the Sea FM family was a no brainer! I can’t wait to jump on the air with Becks and prove once and for all that I’m funnier than him,” said Chaney.

Becks (aka Luke Toohey) is entering his 17th year in media and has been heard on 91.9 Sea FM before as part of the successful show The Benchwarmers with his mate Ant Simpson.

In recent times, Becks was the group content director, VIC/SA for SCA, guiding 11 breakfast shows and stations with a 100% survey win rate. He’s loud, loving and into cricket and said he couldn’t be happier to be joining 91.9 Sea FM.

“I have three major passions in life, my family, local radio and XXXX Bitter…so I’m stoked to make the surf clubs and 91.9 Sea FM my local. An amazing team in the best place on earth…bring it on”, said Becks.

Becks will also take on the newly created role of 91.9 Sea FM content chief, and work closely with Rod Brice, group content director, in taking 91.9 Sea FM into a new decade of entertainment.

“It’s clear we are lucky to have a great duo joining the Sunny Coast 91.9 Sea FM, Elly & Becks bring a fantastic chemistry and the love of a good laugh and we welcome them to the team”, said Brice.
