Multi-Platinum selling artist Ricki-Lee returns as host

Australia’s got talent returns with all-star judges, unbelievable must-see acts and a world-first twist is coming to Channel Seven and 7plus at 7:00 pm Sunday, 9 October. 

Acts from across the globe will be on show alongside comedian and best-selling author David Walliams; beloved actor and radio host Kate Ritchie; multi-platinum selling recording artist and star of Britain’s Got Talent Alesha Dixon; and, making a return to Australia’s Got Talent, actor and entertainer Shane Jacobson

Multi-Platinum selling artist Ricki-Lee returns as host, guiding the acts backstage as a new wave of talent steps onto the stage. 

Australia’s Got Talent this year will feature show-stopping performances, while the judges offer either a “yes from me” or buzz them out of the competition. 

The Golden Buzzer is making a return that allows each judge, as well as host Ricki-Lee, a one-time power to send an act straight through to the Semi-Finals. 

The brand-new era of Australia’s Got Talent will see a world-first twist where Aussie acts from all walks of life take on some of the globe’s best Got Talent acts vying to be crowned champion.

The Ramadhani Brothers 
Fadi (26) and Ibrahim (36)
Location: Tanzania 
Act: Acrobats/Head-to-head balancing 

Putting their incredible skills – and heads – together to make the most of the biggest opportunity of their lives, Fadi and Ibrahim want to win Australia’s Got Talent and pay their success forward to children in their community. They also hope to achieve a Guinness World Record for the most consecutive stairs climbed while balancing a person on the head. 

Emo Mojak
Age: 33
Location: Perth, WA 
Act: Comedian 

Originally from South Sudan, Emo moved to Western Australia in 1996 through a refugee program. Emo’s comedy shares his experience in Australia, parenting blunders and his travels around the world. He hopes that his success will inspire and encourage more Sudanese children to pick up the microphone and give a different type of profession a go. 

Breanna Lee
Age: 16
Location: Melbourne, VIC 
Act: Singer

When Breanna started singing, her foster family encouraged her to sing in her native language to keep her connected with her Indigenous heritage and community. Breanna dreams about releasing an album of her own and looks up to global superstars such as Beyonce, Alicia Keys and Adele. She wants to show other First Nation kids in care that they too can shoot for the stars. 

Johnny Balance 
Age: 38
Location: Melbourne, VIC 
Act: Balancer 

Johnny discovered his unique balancing talent by fluke as a teenager. Taking any opportunity to practice and improve, Johnny’s talent has never been considered anything more than a hobby. He hopes that his appearance on Australia’s Got Talent will give him the platform to incorporate balancing into more areas of his life. 

DJ Sue 
Age: 63
Location: Canberra, ACT 
Act: DJ 

During the week Sue, a grandmother, works as an office administrator; but on nights and weekends, she can be found grooving behind the decks. When she’s not mixing beats, Sue enjoys knitting and playing bridge with friends.
