Kate Bush returns to #1 with Running Up That Hill (Deal with God); bumping last week’s #1, Glimpse of Us by Japanese-Australian artist Joji back to #2. This marks the third week Kate Bush has been at #1 since featuring in season four of Stranger Things.

Now at #2, the highest ranked Australian track this week comes from Joji with Glimpse Of Us. The single follows the 2020 album Nectar which debuted at #1 on the ARIA album charts.

There are only two debuts onto the singles chart this week: Left And Right by Charlie Puth and Jung Kook of BTS fame has landed at #19, and Where Did You Go? by Jax Jones Ft. MNEK debuts at #43.

Albums

It’s another Australian success story in the ARIA charts this week as Spacey Jane debut at #1 on the albums chart with sophomore effort Here Comes Everybody.

Spacey Jane said: “Thank you so, so much for the love and support we’ve received for this record.  Making this album was a massive journey for us all, we poured our hearts into it. From seeing your tags and mentions, meeting you in person and hearing you talk about what Here Comes Everybody means to you and to having a number 1 album… We are all so deeply grateful for everything”

ARIA CEO, Annabelle Herd, said: “Caleb, Peppa, Kieran, and Ashton from Spacey Jane deserve a serious round of applause for their fantastic work on Here Comes Everybody and a huge congratulations for their #1 debut. Another week with an Australian act at the top of the Albums Chart and another reason to celebrate the bright future of our home grown music industry.”

This is the Perth four piece’s second debut on the charts after their first album, Sunlight, made it to #2 last year. Here Comes Everybody also took the #1 position in the vinyl albums chart as well as #1 on the Australian artists albums charts.

American country artist Luke Combs debuts at #2 with Growin’ Up, his third debut in the albums chart top 10.

Aussie indie hardcore band SPEED have also made their first ARIA charts appearance, debuting at #5 with their EP A Gang Called Speed, while the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack for Baz Lurhmann’s ELVIS debuts at #22.

This week marks 100 weeks in the top 50 for 2013’s AM by British alt-rock legends Arctic Monkeys. The milestone comes as the band gears up to visit Australia in late 2022 / early 2023 with Falls Festival and Lost Paradise leading into a run of headline shows.
