Kate Bush continues her streak at #1 on the singles charts, making it five consecutive chart topping weeks since the launch of Stranger Things. Over the weekend, Sydney Park was taken over by hundreds of Kate Bush fans dressed in red, as they celebrated their first gathering in two years. The group put on their best Wuthering Heights interpretive dance moves, before – quite literally – running up that hill.
Following the Stranger Things hype, Metallica’s Master of Puppets comes in at #40 this week.
Joji has kept his place as highest ranked Australian artist, coming in at #3 with Glimpse of Us. This week marks his seventh consecutive week in the top five.
Debuting on the singles chart this week is Britain’s Central Cee, with Doja at #8. The track is Central Cee’s first single since the release of his February 2022 mixtape 23, and samples Eve and Gwen Stefani’s Let Me Blow Ya Mind from 2001.
Global superstar Billie Eilish has released two new songs, both debuting on the singles chart this week. TV has come in at #23, while The 30th has debuted at #31.
Also debuting on the singles chart this week are Remember by Becky Hill and David Guetta at #34 and Are You Entertained by Russ and Ed Sheeran at #45.
Albums
With its 10th week in the top 50 and fourth week at #1, Harry’s House by Harry Styles continues to enjoy its time in the sun.
Coming in as the highest ranked Australian artist this week is five-time Golden Guitar winner Amber Lawrence. She debuts at #5 On the albums chart with Living For The Highlights, her seventh studio album. The album follows 2019’s Spark, which peaked at #13.
Tyler, The Creator’s previous albums creep up the album chart, following the American rapper’s Splendour In The Grass headline performance. Igor (May. 19) comes in at #26 on the albums chart, while Call Me When If You Get Lost (June. 21) comes in at #31 on the albums chart.
Also debuting on the albums chart this week are The Last Goodbye by Odesza at #22, 2000 by Joey Bada$$ at #41, Entering Heaven Alive by Jack White at #43, and How To Grow A Sunflower Underwater by Alex the Astronaut at #47.
