It becomes Elton John’s first top ten entry since Something About the Way You Look Tonight / Candle in the Wind 1997 which hit #1 in September 1997. It becomes Dua Lipa’s ninth top ten single in Australia. John and Pnau previously collaborated on the album Good Morning To The Night in 2012.

Lizzo returns to the singles chart for the first time in two years as she hits #16 with Rumors. Australia’s Luke Hemmings takes out his first solo #1 on the ARIA Charts as he hits the top spot with When Facing The Things We Turn Away From. It’s the 5 Seconds Of Summer frontman and singer-songwriter’s debut solo album and was written and recorded during an enforced period of “staying home” in 2020. It becomes the fifth #1 album of Hemmings’ career after scoring four #1s with 5SOS: 5 Seconds Of Summer in July 2014, Sounds Good Feels Good in November 2015, Youngblood in June 2018 and CALM in April 2020. When Facing The Things We Turn Away From is the twelfth Australian #1 album on the ARIA Charts in 2021.

ARIA CEO Annabelle Herd says: “Luke Hemmings has proven himself to be one of Australia’s most beloved, talented, and iconic performers. All of us at ARIA congratulate Luke on taking his first step as a solo artist and going straight to number 1 with When Facing the Things We Turn Away From. Such an immense contribution to the Australian music landscape.”

American rockers The Killers score their second top ten entry in a year as they release their seventh album, Pressure Machine at #6. The follow-up to chart topper Imploding The Mirage becomes their ninth top ten album in Australia, a run that began with their debut, Hot Fuss at #1 in February 2005). It’s the first Killers album to feature founding guitarist Dave Keuning since Wonderful Wonderful.

Sydney duo Polish Club claim their first ever top ten entry as they debut at #8 with Now We’re Cookin’. The third studio album from the rockers comes two years on from Iguana. The tour in support of the new album, scheduled to be held between October and December, will see Polish Club expand to a quartet for the first time.

British electronic band Jungle take out a new ARIA Charts peak as they return at #10 with Loving In Stereo. The pair’s third album comes three years on from For Ever which hit #28 in September 2018. Jungle’s previous peak was with their self-titled debut at #20 in July 2014. Loving In Stereo is this week’s #1 on the ARIA Vinyl Albums Chart.
