Adelaide Radio Ratings 2022 Survey 4: FiveAA grabs outright commercial breakfast win

After tying with Nova for first place in survey two, Mix 102.3 has broken away and solidified its lead with a 10.6% share, despite a drop of 1 point.

This is the fourth survey since Ali Clarke made the jump from ABC Radio Adelaide to Mix 102.3. The show continued to dip – sliding  1.1 points last survey and 1.9 points this survey – making it #6 commercial breakfast in the market, down from equal third last survey.

In the afternoon, Will and Woody‘s national drive show stayed steady at third in the timeslot after a dip of 0.4 points brought the show to 10.9%.

It’s been a rollercoaster year for Nova. After the station jumped from Adelaide’s fourth commercial station to equal first overall in survey two, survey three saw the station settle in at second – which is where it stays this time around. A slide of 1 point sees SAFM hot on Nova’s heels, however. 

In breakfast, Ben and Liam have slid 1.8%, bringing them from equal first commercial breakfast show in the market to third overall. 

Nova is still dominating the 10-17 and 18-24 demographics, with 22.1% and 21.7% shares respectively.

SAFM has risen 0.9 points for a share of 10.1%, only a whisker away from overtaking Nova (who sit on 10.2%).

The breakfast team of Bec, Cosi & Lehmo has risen 0.2 points for a total of 9.0%, while Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little’s national drive show has claimed #1 overall in the daypart after a 0.6 point jump brought them to 12.5%. 

SAFM has kept its #1 overall spot amongst the 25-39 demographics, with 20.0%.

After a bumpy start to the year, 5MMM seems to have found its stride, lifting 1.7 points – the biggest rise in this survey – overall for a total of a 9.9% share. 

The breakfast team of Roo, Ditts, and Loz has risen 1.4 points, coming to a total of 11.3%, making them the second commercial show in the daypart.

At the other end of the day, this is the fourth survey since Triple M introduced its local Rush Hour drive shows across the country. In Adelaide, The Rush Hour with Bernie, Blewey, and Jars has moved forward from its previous 6pm timeslot to 4pm. The team has risen 1.8 points for a total of 10.2%.

A dip of 0.8 points for a share of 9.7% has seen Cruise 1323 claim fourth commercial station.

John Dean‘s breakfast show has dropped 1.3 points with a share of 7.5%, while Mark Elliston’s drive has lifted 1.1 points to land at #5 commercial show with 9.5%.

FIVEaa has recorded a slide of 0.1 points and a total share of 8.0%. 

In the breakfast slot, David and Will have lifted 0.7 points for a total share of 11.8%, putting them at #1 commercial breakfast show in Adelaide. In drive, Rowey and Bicks have slid 0.8 points for a total share of 6.2%.
