Abbie Chatfield steps down as co-host of Fridayz Live tour

RNB Fridayz Live - Abbie Chatfield

Chatfield cites an “active lawsuit involving the headline act” for the decision

Abbie Chatfield has announced that she will be stepping down from her role co-hosting the RNB Fridays presents: Fridayz Live tour this year, saying that this decision will also likely extend to future tours.

Now in its sixth year, the tour’s 2023 run is set to be held in Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Auckland, Brisbane, and Sydney throughout November.

Writing on social media, Chatfield said that the reason for her decision is that “at this time, there is an active lawsuit involving the headline act, including an allegation of sexual harassment.

“While these are presently allegations and there has been no resolution in court, I personally don’t feel comfortable performing my duties as co-host while these legal matters are outstanding.

“This is my personal stance and I have decided to remove myself from the lineup.”

This year’s Fridayz Live line up features Jason Derulo, Boyz II Men, Flo Rida, Kelly Rowland, JoJo, 112, Baby Bash, Travie McCoy, DJ Havana Brown, Vinn Rock & DJ Kay Gee for a Naughty By Nature DJ Set, and resident DJ YO! MAFIA

Before stepping down, Chatfield was set to co-host the event alongside Fatman.

“I’m sorry to disappoint anyone who was excited to come and see me at Fridayz Live this year. I wish the other acts on the lineup the absolute best for their shows and am disappointed I can’t be there,” Chatfield concluded.

The concert tour is the result of a partnership between SCA and Mushroom Group, alongside SCA’s Hit Network, MG Live, Illusive Presents and Frontier Touring.
