Channel Seven’s First Dates is coming back to Australian screens, bringing a new venue, hidden cameras, and a fresh wave of singles willing to let the nation watch them fall in love.
Or not.
The fly-on-the-wall dating series, a Warner Bros. International Television Australia production, will air on Seven and 7plus.
New setting, same nerve-wracking question
This season steps into a brand-new restaurant, fitted with discreet cameras designed to capture the full stomach-turning awkwardness of a blind date.
From the first cringe hello to the moment couples must answer the only question that really matters: “Would you like to go on a second date?”
Because really, isn’t that what we’re all watching for? That delicious, excruciating pause before someone answers.
The format remains unchanged: two strangers meet for the first time, with no filter, no safety net, and absolutely no idea whether the person walking through the door will be their person. Or their next dinner-party story. You know the one: “So we matched, and it turns out he still lives with his mother.”
A premiere date has not yet been confirmed.
