Wunderkind has announced its partnership with The PR Group to strengthen its communication and public relations efforts in Australia and New Zealand.

The performance marketing solution company initially engaged The PR Group to launch their brand into the Australian market following a competitive pitch.

After launching in Australia in November 2022, Wunderkind has re-engaged with The PR Group for an ongoing retainer to elevate its brand in the region.

The PR Group is tasked with building Wunderkind’s communications strategy and leading media relations efforts as the company looks to rapidly build its presence in the Australian market.

Jamie Hoey, country manager for Wunderkind, said: “At Wunderkind, unleashing human individuality is our ‘secret sauce’. When choosing an agency partner, it was important we had the right people in place from day one to support us in our ambitious global expansion strategy.

“We have been so impressed by the people and quality of creative and strategic thinking from The PR Group team. They are an integrated and essential part of our Australian operations.”

Hoey, who is tasked with rapidly scaling Wunderkind’s business in Australia and building the local team, plans to grow headcount exponentially across sales, customer success and client partnerships in the coming 12 months.

Melissa Shawyer, managing director at The PR Group, added: “We were born with the belief that through effective communications, real change is possible. This belief unites our team and inspires us to do better.

“We’re excited to work alongside Wunderkind to unlock their story, define their purpose and drive impact in the Australian market as they bring their game-changing performance marketing proposition to more brands.”

Focusing on opt-in, first-party data and owned channel optimisation, Wunderkind already has a strong base of local customers, helping Australian retailers realise up to 10 per cent extra online revenue.

Wunderkind’s proprietary identity technology enables this performance lift by helping retailers unmask hidden traffic and scale high-converting, one-to-one communications, typically placing it among its customers’ top three highest-performing paid marketing channels.
