Week 20 TV ratings: Seven ranks #1 network, #1 primary and #1 multi with 7mate

Seven managed to rank as the #1 network for the third week in a row

Seven has finished first with the leading primary channel and the most-watched network for the second time in three weeks in TV ratings. 7mate ranked as the #1 mutlichannel with a leading share of 4.2%.

10’s primary share held steady while the network share crept higher by the smallest possible margin.

Seven 20.2% primary share, 30.0% network share

Seven News maintained its leadership position across each day of the week at 6pm to lead the TV ratings.

The next single biggest audience was for the Monday episode of Big Brother which was on 638,000. For the remainder of its week, Big Brother attracted 562,000 (Wednesday), 558,000 (Tuesday) and 535,000 (Sunday).

Seven’s Friday Night Football had an audience of 551,000, narrowly ahead of Home and Away on 548,000.

Nine 18.8% primary share, 27.2% network share

Nine News was over 900,000 for both halves of the bulletins on weekdays with Nine #1 at 6pm in Melbourne and winning across the hour in Sydney and Brisbane.

A Current Affair’s weekday average was 675,000 after 678,000 the week prior.

Lego Masters Sunday was the week’s #1 non-news across all channels with 772,000. For the remainder of its week the building block contest did 735,000 Monday and 682,000 Tuesday.

Travel Guides filled the Wednesday 7.30pm timeslot and it managed 631,000 after the new series debuted the week prior on 644,000.

60 Minutes had a quiet week with 463,000, well below its best.

10 11.9% primary share, 19.1% network share

Have You Been Paying Attention? did 750,000 for its second episode of the year after debuting on 735,000 for 10. In Week 20 the Working Dog format managed to rank #10 for the week.

Next best for the channel was Monday’s MasterChef Australia on 623,000 ahead of other episodes returning audiences of 573,000 (Tuesday and Thursday), 567,000 (Sunday) and 513,000 (Wednesday).

The 7pm audience average for The Project across the weeknights was 436,000 after 426,000 the week prior.

ABC 10.8% primary share, 15.5% network share

Hard Quiz was again the ABC highlight ranking #15 for the week amongst all channels with 636,000.

ABC News Sunday and ABC News M-F were also both over 600,000 and in the top 20 for the week.

In Budget Week 7.30 had an average audience of 547,000, close to a non-Budget Week crowd of 550,000 last week.

Falling just short of half a million viewers were the next best channel offerings – Spicks and Specks (499,000), The Weekly with Charlie Pickering (495,000), Vera (486,000) and Australian Story (482,000).

SBS 4.9% primary share, 8.3% network share

Two repeat episodes led the rankings for the SBS primary channel – World’s Greatest Bridges on 236,000 and Who Do You Think You Are? on 235,000.

The second episode of See What You Made Me Do was on 212,000 after launching the week prior as the channel’s #1 on 262,000.
