Vera Blue kicks off Nova’s Red Room series for 2022

Australian singer-songwriter Vera Blue has taken to the stage as the first artist for 2022 to perform live in Nova’s Red Room. 

On Tuesday, March 8th the Nova Network, in partnership with PayPal Pay in 4, held a special Nova’s Red Room as part of one of Australia’s largest and most influential fashion events – the PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival. Hosted by Kent ‘Smallzy’ Small, Vera Blue performed exclusively for over 200 guests at The Edge at Federation Square.

Vera wowed the crowd with her vocals, performing The Curse, Temper, Lie To Me, Hold, All The Pretty Girls, and Regular Touch before finishing her set with Rushing Back as fans sang along.

Guests included Michael Parisi from Michael Parisi Management, Rowan Thiedeman from Live Nation, Samantha Kelly from Universal Music, Nova’s Kent ‘Smallzy’ Small, Joel Creasey and afternoon announcer Mel Tracina, Neighbours stars Tim Kano and Rebekah Elmaloglou, Fox Sports’ Matt Suleau, model Jess King, Sarita Holland, model and former Love Island contestant Matthew Zukowski, Tully Smyth host of the successful podcast Too Much Tully, PayPal Pay in 4 representatives including Thomas Suffren as well as Nova’s chief growth officer Adam Johnson, Nova’s head of music Scott Baker Smith, Nova 100 program director Ben Latimer, music marketing & partnerships director Irene Hulme, group marketing manager Troy Peace among many others.

The performance kicks 2022 off after a big 2021 where Nova’s Red Room saw some major performances and the return of Red Room ARIAs At Home Edition. Hosted by Tim Blackwell, ARIAs At Home Edition saw some of the country’s talented ARIA Award nominees, Tones And I, Vance Joy, and Baker Boy, each taking to the virtual stage in the lead up to the 2021 ARIA Awards.

On Thursday night multi-award winning producer Joel Corry will entertain fans with an exclusive Nova’s Red Room performance in Adelaide at the festival hub Gluttony, a favourite destination for Adelaide Fringe Festival attendees.
