First up, Sam Cucchiara from Nine’s A Current Affair revealed the chilling moment he unknowingly interviewed a murderer when he was a reporter for 9News Melbourne.
Then it was the time drama fans had been waiting for with the season 11 premiere of Married at First Sight.
During the episode, we met the Brides and Grooms partaking in the experiment, before Cassandra and Tristan and Tim and Sara walked down the aisle, meeting for the first time.
Highlights from the episode included Moddy, Cassandra’s dad, who delivered a beautiful “mic drop” speech following the emotional revelation that she had lost both her boyfriend and mum.
Meanwhile, things took a turn during Tim and Sara’s wedding as Tim admitted that he not only had been cheated on by his ex but that he wanted to propose to her just before their break up only six months before filming!
To make matters worse, Tim’s best man Ben decided to detail his mate’s sex life in a jaw-dropping and “rancid” speech.

Over on Seven Home and Away, Courtney Clarke’s (from Paper Dolls fame) Valerie arrived in Summer Bay hoping to help her new friend Leah (Ada Nicodemou) work things out with Justin (James Stewart). Meanwhile, Bree (Juliet Godwin) hid some sad news from Remi (Adam Rowland) and Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) pondered his next career move.
Then it was the season premiere of Australian Idol as the show kicked off with a show-stealing audition. Thirty-year-old NSW father of two Dylan Wright delivered a stirring performance of Crowded House’s Better Be Home Soon, which he lovingly dedicated to his late mother.
Wright not only claimed one of the night’s four Golden Tickets but moved judge Kyle Sandilands to tears.
“That was so beautiful. I don’t usually cry in the presence of other men, but what a sweetheart you are. I loved it,” he told the contestant.

On 10, The Project welcomed Australian Survivor host Jonathan LaPaglia who revealed what makes the Aussie version the best in the global franchise and Sam Taunton chatted with the Jonas Brothers who revealed how Bluey has taken over their lives at home.
Then, it was time for the season premiere of Australian Survivor: Titans v Rebels.
Greeted by LaPaglia, 24 brand-new players arrived on the beaches of Samoa ready to see who will outwit, outplay, and outlast the others to take home the half-million-dollar prize.
This season, the tribes were born from two primal opposing forces, Titans vs Rebels. The Titans are the masters of their craft – the head honchos and over-achievers, while the Rebels are the mavericks who don’t play by the rules.
Challenges saw contestants battle it out; before two contenders Peta and Alex engaged in a “naughty sandwich” to stay warm and Frankie was blindsided, becoming the first player to be sent home.

ABC’s 7.30 kicked off the evening as the program looked at the shortage of air traffic controllers leading to flight delays. Sarah Ferguson also interviewed US politician Bernie Sanders.
Then, Nemesis looked at how Tony Abbott, who swept to power with a thumping victory over the Labor government in 2013, was removed as PM in just under two years. So, how did it all go so wrong so quickly?
The Cloud Under the Sea followed with a repeat episode that detailed how the global web of fibre optic telecommunication cables double as the frontline of a tech war.

Over on SBS, Jonathan Ross visited the south-west of England in search of local myths and Legends in Jonathan Ross’ Myths and Legends. Ross began his journey at Tintagel Castle, where legend says King Arthur was conceived, meeting archaeologist Win Scutt to find out whether there is any truth in the story.
