Nine

Nine had the top primary (21.8%) and network (29.2%) shares last night thanks to The Block which was sandwiched between the broadcasters current affairs programming.

The Block continued its strong performances of the last few weeks with 852,000 viewers tuning in to see the continuation of the cheating saga. While Josh and Luke thought they could put their part in the cheating scandal behind them, tensions were raised again when Kirsty performed a song about cheating at her and Jesse‘s Winners Are Grinners dinner.

Ronnie was also on edge due to Mitch and Mark‘s pre-planning and ordering. Keith and Dan were also concerned, leaving Mark feeling like he’s being “accused of cheating”.

The episode was the top entertainment program of the night.

Under Investigation with Liz Hayes then had 414,000 viewers as the show covered the disappearance of young Belgian backpacker Theo Hayez.

100% Footy and Footy Classified then had 81,000 and 162,000 footy heads tune in.

The Project had 318,000 (6:30pm) and 543,000 (7:00pm) as the show covered the story of AJ Alfalak, Tycoon taxs, and News Corp’s reported deviation on climate change.

On the penultimate episode of Survivor, the show’s ultimate power couple finally crumbled as George and Cara both voted for each other following the worst-case scenario of Flick winning immunity. Both George and Cara listened to the pitch of a desperate Hailey who was able to convince both of them to turn on the other. Ultimately this sent Cara home because Hailey thought it was more likely that George had bought her pitch.

The episode had 761,000 viewers which was up on last week’s 690,000.

Have You Been Paying Attention? then had 704,000 as the show featured Dilruk Jayasinha, Celia Pacquola and Denise Scott.

Australian Story covered one of Australia’s most baffling mysteries from December 1948 where two young jockeys exercising their horses found the body of a well-dressed man on Somerton Beach in Adelaide. Police assumed that somebody would soon come forward to identify the body, but nobody ever did. Now South Australian Attorney-General Vickie Chapman oversaw the decision to exhume ‘Somerton Man’’s remains in May from an Adelaide cemetery, in the hope that modern DNA testing may finally reveal the mystery of his identity. The episode had 621,000 viewers.

Four Corners had 470,000 viewers as the show covered the fall of Kabul. The story was reported by Louise Milligan through interviews and videos from those on the ground, the program captured the drama and the chaos engulfing the region.
