Total TV Ratings for September 13, 2021

In the total TV ratings, The Block was the top non-news program with 1.459m viewers which was up 22%. The episode featured the start of the master ensuite week.

SAS Australia‘s launch episode had a total TV audience of 1.315m which was an increase of 36%. The episode saw Brynne Edelsten be the first one to voluntarily leave the show.

The Masked Singer Australia also launched that night and had an audience of 1.059m which was an increase of 22%. The episode saw Vinnie Jones be the first celeb unmasked.

Have You Been Paying Attention? also performed well for 10, bringing in 1.053m viewers which was an increase of 21%. The episode featured appearances from Emma Holland, Kitty Flanagan and Pete Helliar.

After averaging 615,000 last week, Home and Away brought in 627,000 viewers last night.

SAS Australia then had 620,000 which was down slightly on last week’s 647,000 that it had for its season launch. In the episode the recruits faced a fast rope insertion into water, followed by a casualty rescue mission in an abandoned compound, where only a handful of recruits successfully located both casualties and passed the task. 

The recruits then had a hand-to-hand combat test where the only form of defence was attacking, which saw Alicia Molik quit after an onslaught from Jana Pittman and Pete Murray medically withdraw after dislocating his elbow against Mark Philippoussis.

A double episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star then had 285,000 and 196,000.

Nine was the top primary channel (20.2%) and network (27.6%) last night thanks to a combination of A Current Affair, The Block, and Under Investigation with Liz Hayes.

A Current Affair had 729,000 as the show covered Victorian’s anger about slow vaccine rollouts in local government areas of concern.

The Block had 812,000 and was the top non-news program of the night. The episode saw the tension between the teams intensified when Tanya and Vito and Josh and Luke declined an invite to Ronnie and Georgia‘s Winners Are Grinners dinner. Kitchen Week also kicked off and a Lip Sync Battle challenge was announced.

Under Investigation with Liz Hayes had 365,000 as the show examined what would happen to Australia in a war between the United States and China.

The Project had 307,000 (6:30pm) and 516,000 (7:00pm) as the show covered how the scrapped submarine deal with France could derail trade agreements and construction workers anger in Victoria over mandatory vaccinations in the sector.

On The Masked Singer, 703,000 watched as Lote Tuqiri was revealed to be the celeb under the Piñata costume. The episode had an average of 567,000 viewers which saw Tuqiri’s fun rendition of LMFAO’s Party Rock Anthem but which was outdone by Kebabs spicy take on The Middle by Zedd. This episode was down on the show’s launch of 642,000 viewers.

Have You Been Paying Attention? then followed with 731,000 viewers. The episode featured Rosehaven co-stars Luke McGregor and Celia Pacquola.

10‘s Monday night lineup once again performed well in the key demographics with both HYBPA? and The Masked Singer in the top five for all key demos. With HYBPA? #1 in 16-39 and 18-49.

ABC

Australian Story had 523,000 viewers tune in for its examination of the Tamil family, which was produced by Kristine Taylor and Belinda Hawkins.

Four Corners then examined food fraud with 487,000 viewers tuning in. 

Media Watch followed with 450,000.

SBS

The top non-news program on SBS was Secret Scotland with 143,000 viewers.
