Nine had a dominant win in the TV ratings last night with a strong #1 primary share of 37.4% and a leading network share of 44.6%. The driving force of this result was clearly the finale of The Block which had an average of 1.384m viewers, with 1.692m tuning in for the winner announcement.

The episode saw Oz and Omar crowned winners of The Block: Tree Change 2022, taking home a record-breaking $1,686,666.66 in prizemoney after selling their four-bedroom, 10-acre property for $5,666,666.66, which was $1,586,666.66 above their reserve price.

The pair made the largest sum any team have ever made over a reserve price in 18 series of The Block, netting them an additional $100,000 in prizemoney as the 2022 winners.

On the flipside, two couples, Ankur and Sharon, and Dylan and Jenny, failed to sell their homes at auction. Both properties were passed in when they failed to attract a bidder over their $4.08 million reserve price, both attracting a highest bid of  $4,075,000.

On Seven, Australia’s Got Talent had 475,000 viewers as the show revealed the first six grand finalists for this year’s season. Afterwards, Armed and Dangerous had 207,000 viewers.

On 10, The Traitors had 206,000 viewers as Kate joined the Traitors as the last original Traitor, Nigel, was banished from the show.

On the ABC, Inside the Syndey Opera House had 323,000 viewers.

The top program on SBS was Curse of the Ancients with 142,000 viewers.
