Total TV Ratings, March 24

Nine’s Friday Night NRL topped TV, enjoying a 13% lift to reach 779,000 as Storm defeated West Tigers 24-12.

ABC’s Van Der Valk had the highest lift on total TV, with 53% and delivering an audience of 647,000.

Seven’s Friday night AFL rose 1% for 590,000.

Overnight TV Ratings, March 31

Seven has dominated the Friday night shares, thanks again to its AFL coverage. Seven had a primary channel share of 26.8% and a network share of 37.8%, while 7mate won the multichannel win with 4.2%.

Seven’s AFL came out on top, with 441,000 tuning in to watch Collingwood claim victory and enjoy 3-0 for the first time in more than a decade after a 14-point win over Richmond. The match topped all key demos, with 298,000 viewers tuning in from Melbourne, while over 85,000 watched the game live at the MCG. The pre-match coverage clocked 344,000, while the post-match had 243,000. Better Homes and Gardens reached 406,000 as Charlie and Melissa checked out the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show.

Nine’s Friday night NRL had 306,000 tune in to watch Storm defeat the Rabbitohs 18-10. Later in the night, the Panthers claimed victory against the Raiders 53-12. A Current Affair reached 410,000 as the program did a full wrap of Gwyneth Paltrow’s court case.

On the ABC, Gardening Australia topped entertainment with 340,000 as Hannah gave tips on garden pollinators. Van Der Valk had 320,000 as an Indonesian ceremonial sword used as a murder weapon took Van der Valk and the team deep into the world of colonial museum artefacts.

On 10, 208,000 tuned into 10 News First, while 170,000 watched the 7pm Project as the team asked MP Alex Greenwich if he feels an apology is needed from One Nation’s Mark Latham, after a homophobic tweet directed at Greenwich.

The highest-rated non-news show on SBS was Wrecks That Changed The World, with 81,000.

Fox Footy’s AFL coverage has topped subscription TV, with Collingwood v Richmond bringing in 296,000. On Fox League, Rabbitohs v Storm came out on top with 291,000, followed by Raiders v Panthers with 233,000. On Fox Sports, F1: Practice 2 pulled in 86,000.
