Overnight TV Ratings

Nine has won Sunday night with a primary share of 41.4% and a network share of 50.0%. The highest rating multichannel was Go! with 3.2%.

Seven recorded a primary share of 13.7% and a network share of 22%.
The ABC recorded a primary share of 9.2% and a network share of 12.2%.
10 recorded a primary share of 5.3% and a network share of 9.5%.
SBS recorded a primary share of 2.8% and a network share of 6.3%.

On Nine, the Australian Open’s night eight session saw Aussie Alex De Minaur take on Russian Andrey Rublev. Cracking the million mark, 1,152,000 watched as the last Australian in the singles draws exited the competition, with Rublev winning 6-4, 6-7 (5/7), 6-7 (4/7), 6-3, 6-0.

On Seven, 354,000 tuned in to 7News Spotlight as the show looked back at the life of John Farnham with missing tapes and footage left in the vault for decades. A repeat of Border Security took 254,000 behind the front line, before 141,000 settled in for movie night with Mamma Mia!

ABC’s Muster Dogs brightened the evening for 429,000 viewers, as the pups continued training for the five-month assessment. Total Control followed, bringing in 235,000 viewers. 

On 10, The Sunday Project (135,000 6:30pm / 179,000 7pm) covered The Federal Police’s warning about the new ‘pig butchering scams’ that use friendship and romance to scam people out of millions of dollars. In the final heat of Gladiators, 176,000 tuned in to see Raven and Maximus making their debut, as the contestants battled it out for the final quarterfinal spots.

The highest rating non-news show on SBS was The Crusaders: Fortress of Faith with 110,000 tuning in. 

Total TV Ratings: January 14

The ABC’s Muster Dogs has topped the night, bringing in 1,282,000 with a lift of 52%. Total Control rose 42%, watched by 587,000.

On the first day of the Australian Open, Novak Djokovic (SRB) played 18-year-old Dino Prizmic (CRO). The match was up 12% with a total audience of 674,000.
