Nine’s A Current Affair (593,000) looked at how mortgage holders across the country have let out a sigh of relief today as the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) decided to hold its official cash rate at 4.35 per cent.

Then, 534,000 watched a special episode of Travel Guides as our five groups of intrepid explorers charged up their iPads and took a walk down memory lane, reflecting on all the amazing holidays they’ve enjoyed.

181,000 also watched a repeat of the movie Vacation where Rusty Griswold (Chevy Chase) took his family on a road trip to Walley World to spice things up with his wife and reconnect with his sons.

397,000 began their evening with a repeat of Seven’s Border Security: Australia’s Front LineDuring the episode, a man’s bag test returned a positive swab for drugs after a trip to Thailand. 

Then, 359,000 / 361,000 stayed on for two encore episodes of Highway Patrol. 

Big Brother Australia followed for 142,000 as the housemates’ loved ones were brought into the house. After a tearful welcome, they updated their friends and family on their Big Brother journey before mingling.

407,000 watched ABC’s 7.30 chat with Alan Kohler on the Reserve Bank’s decision to leave interest rates on hold. Norman Swan also delivered the latest on COVID plus the series looked at how the Ukraine pioneered the use of drones in the early stages of the war, but Russia is catching up.

303,000 then watched Celeste Barber’s The Way We Wore.

Yakka: Australia At Work was up next for 178,000 which explored how in post-war Australia, the Aussie miner exerted huge political influence on the workplace and the country.

104,000 also watched Believing in Australia.

On 10, The Project (133,000 6:30pm / 204,000 7pm) welcomed Sir Richard Branson via satellite to talk about the launch of Virgin Voyages. Plus, the panel looked at how the Oxford Dictionary has named ‘Rizz’ as the word of the year.

The Bachelors Australia then followed as a tennis group date saw Holly reveal to Ben she didn’t want kids. Before this, she had rejected Wes (who she felt “love bombed” her with a letter). After the events of both, she was eliminated. 153,000 tuned in, down from Monday, when 170,000 watched on.

131,000 also caught a repeat of NCIS.

The highest rating non-news show on SBS was Who Do You Think You Are with 149,000 tuning in to see quiz show presenter and crime writer Richard Osman delve into his Brighton roots, astonished to discover how his 4-times great grandfather turned amateur sleuth had ended up entangled in one of Brighton’s most notorious murder trials. 

115,000 also saw Stock Aitken Waterman: Legends of Pop.

1,162,000 watched Nine’s Travel Guides, up 28%.

957,000 viewed Seven’s Home and Away, up 27%.

933,000 tuned into 10’s Dessert Masters Grand Finale – Winner Announced, up 22% while 785,000 caught 10’s Dessert Masters Grand Finale, up 21%.
