Nine has ended Seven’s primary channel winning streak that dates back to before the Olympics with a share of 19.5% just beating out Seven who had 19.4%!

A Current Affair had 713,000 viewers as the show covered an international blue over Aussie café name Gordon Bleu, a home relocation nightmare, and how some GPs refuse to give the AstraZeneca vaccine to patients under 60.

The NRL coverage of the Melbourne Storm defeating the Canberra Raiders had an audience of 373,000. The match was the top non-news program in Sydney with 175,000 viewers.

For the non-NRL markets, it was their turn to see the return of Australian Crime Stories with Sydney and Brisbane watching it on Wednesday night. The episode received 159,000 viewers.

Seven

Seven may have lost its primary channel win streak by the thinnest of margins but the broadcaster was still able to keep its network (29.3%) and multichannel (4.4%) streaks alive which now sit at over two weeks long.

Home and Away aired its Thursday night triple-header with an average of 605,000 for the first two episodes and 553,000 for the third. 

The Front Bar then had 349,000 as a very pumped up former Melbourne player and later Fremantle coach Chris Connolly was the special guest. The episode had 245,000 tune in from Melbourne, making it the top non-news program in the city last night.

The Project had 280,000 (6:30pm) and 468,000 (7:00pm) as the show covered the Covid-19 outbreak reaching Canberra and spoke to Taylor Schilling

The Bachelor had an average audience of 412,000 as the double episode saw Sierah and Rebekah leave the mansion.

The episodes featured Brooke temporarily leaving the mansion, Laura and Carlie have solo dates, and five of the ladies were surprised by their Mums, for a speed date with Jimmy

Last night’s episodes were up on last week’s 375,000 viewers.

ABC

Foreign Correspondent had 458,000 viewers as the show covered the dark side of the world’s fashion addiction.

Q+A was live from Melbourne with 305,000 viewers as the episode was hosted by David Speers and he was joined by Matt Canavan, Catherine King, Alan Kohler, Paul Zahra, and Angela Jackson.

This was a strong bounce-back from the ABC’s Thursday night lineup following last week where Foreign Correspondent had 271,000 viewers and Q+A brought in 188,000.

The top non-news show on SBS last night was a repeat of Great Asian Railway Journeys with 153,000 viewers.
