As the Tokyo Olympics enter the final few days of competition its results refuse to slow down as Seven enjoys another comfortable win with the #1 primary channel (33.8%), network (53.7%) and multichannel (14.3%).

The Aussies had an up and down day as the Boomers and the Kookaburras suffered heartbreaking defeats but Australia won gold in the rowing and skateboarding, while Ashley Moloney made history in the decathlon winning bronze.

A Current Affair had 716,000 viewers as host Deborah Knight spoke to Jane Halton who sits on the Federal Government’s National COVID-19 Co-ordination Commission.

The NRL followed with 238,000 tuning to watch the Newcastle Knights defeat a spirited Brisbane Broncos. The match had 141,000 viewers in Sydney and 77,000 in Brisbane.

On 10 The Project had 297,000 (6:30pm) and 397,000 (7:00pm) as the show covered the worst day of the pandemic yet for New South Wales with a record number of new cases and deaths.

The Bachelor had 375,000 viewers as Jay revved Jimmy’s engine on the solo date at a race track that also involved a blindfold and a jet ski.

However, Ashleigh drove right into the friend zone after winning a compatibility test but realising she had a different timeline to Jimmy.

The episode was up on last week’s 369,000 viewers.

ABC

The Thursday night current affair lineup continues to struggle with Foreign Correspondent having 271,000 viewers and Q+A with guest host Stan Grant bringing in 188,000. This was the lowest ratings for both shows this year, and the first time Q+A has dropped below 200,000 viewers.

SBS

The top non-news show last night was a repeat of Who Do You Think You Are? UK which focused on Kate Winslet and brought in 131,000 viewers.
