Nine

Nine narrowly lost its first night of the week last night after having an 18.4% primary share.

The NRL had 364,000 and was the #1 non-news show in Sydney and Brisbane as the Newcastle Knights were unable to stop the Penrith Panthers regular season winning streak that now sits at 22.

A Current Affair lead into the footy with 636,000.

Seven

Seven had the top primary (18.5%) and network (27.4%) share last night, as it got its first win of the week.

With no AFL to show, Seven went back to airing a Thursday night triple header of Home and Away with an average audience of 532,000. The Front Bar aired its first Thursday night episode of the year bringing in 309,000 viewers.

7TWO was the top multichannel last night with 3.8%, thanks to Father Brown and three episodes of Murdoch Mysteries.

10

MasterChef was the only tentpole program to air four nights this week and had 591,000 tune in as Trent Vu was the first contestant sent home from the MasterChef kitchen. The elimination challenge was chicken or egg, and the contestants had 75 minutes to cook a dish featuring either ingredient, with the pantry and garden open.

The final episode of Gogglebox followed with 605,000 and was the top non-news program of the night.

On The Project the show discussed the impact of tearing up infrastructure agreements with China, Father Bob‘s driving ban, and chatted to Rosé from Black Pink.

ABC

On Back Roads, guest host Lisa Millar took 420,000 viewers to the Southern Highlands in Tasmania.

This was followed by Q&A with another night under 300,000, despite the episode’s climate change panel generating a lot of headlines overnight.
