In an exclusive special report, Sky News Australia spotlights the life of Charles Philip Arthur George, before he is officially crowned King Charles III alongside his wife Camilla on 6 May 2023.

The half-hour news special King Charles III Coronation will premiere on Wednesday 19 April at 8:30pm AEST hosted by Sky News Reporter Danica De Giorgio.

Wednesday’s special examines the pressures facing the new monarch, featuring interviews with key royal commentators who discuss the long-term survival of the House of Windsor.

Featuring archive footage, De Giorgio looks back on Charles’ biggest moments, as experts and insiders weigh-in on the future of the British Royals, asking the question, will his family overshadow his reign?

Last year, after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, Sky News Australia swiftly transported many of its key talents to the UK for live coverage of the funeral.

The first of four hosts to go to air were Peta Credlin and Paul Murray on Sunday evening. Following them on Monday morning from 5.30am were breakfast hosts Laura Jayes and Peter Stefanovic.

Credlin and Murray went to air Sunday night as the coffin carrying Queen Elizabeth II started its journey from Balmoral to Edinburgh.
