The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games have kicked off, broadcast live and free, exclusively on Seven and 7plus until August 8.

The Australian Gymnastics team have made a strong start to the games, with Georgia Godwin’s 12.950 on the floor and total score of 53.550 sealing her first Commonwealth Games gold, an upgrade on her all-around silver on the Gold Coast, ahead of England’s Achampong (53.000) and Canada’s Spence (52.350).

The Gymnastics apparatus finals will kick off at 10:00 pm Monday, August 1, with five chances at gold.
