• The second season of Ted Lasso continues to do well this week

Almost a month after the final episode aired, Marvel’s Loki is still dominating all four charts for Disney+. Last week Rick and Morty managed to take the top spot on the New Zealand Overall chart, but this week Loki is back on top across the board.

A second season has been confirmed in the end credits of season one, but we don’t have a release date yet. Some reports say that filming is scheduled for January 2022, which could mean a release date in late 2022 or early 2023, depending on how many effects the show will use. If it’s anything like the first season, it will probably be a lot.

This week in Australia, Loki has come in at 25.17 points above market average, and 16.40 points above market average in New Zealand.

The second season of Ted Lasso continues to do well this week, coming in third on the Australian Digital Original charts and second in New Zealand.

In the show, American Ted Lasso is a coach of college-level American soccer team. He finds himself recruited to coach an English Premier League team, AFC Richmond, despite having absolutely no experience in that level of the game.

Ted Lasso came in at 21.74 points above market average in Australia, and 12.31 in New Zealand.

The Mandalorian hasn’t strayed far from the top of the charts since the second season of the show wound up in December last year. This week it has received a bit of a boost after headlines were made about the third season. Giancarlo Esposito, who played Moff Gideon, gave some updates. Specifically, he revealed that Pedro Pascal, who plays the Mandalorian himself, Din Djarin, will return despite currently being away to shoot HBO’s The Last Of Us.

We can expect to know the exact date season three will drop by September this year.

This week The Mandalorian came in at 22.20 points above market average in Australia, and 11.69 in New Zealand.
