• The fourth series of The Handmaid’s Tale on SBS continues to do well on the charts this week

Last week saw the launch of the third Marvel TV series on Disney+ for the year following WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Making its debut was the first episode of Loki.

Viewers are taken back a little bit, to the middle of the Avengers time heist that was first seen in the film Avengers: Endgame. Loki (Tom Hiddleston) in that timeline steals the Tesseract and escapes. His freedom doesn’t last though, with the Time Variance Authority apprehending him and taking him away to their headquarters to be sentenced for his timeline-splitting crimes.

The series has climbed to the top of both the Australian charts and come in at second on both New Zealand charts, rating 26.38 points above market average in Australia and 19.14 points across the ditch.

Lucifer is still making an impact in Australia after making a big entry with the newest season dropping on Netflix.

The series follows Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis), the Devil himself, who abandons Hell for Los Angeles where he runs his own nightclub named Lux. Eventually, Lucifer becomes a consultant to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The season 5B finale of Lucifer dealt with the aftermath of the murder of a character from the previous episode, as well as an anticipated fight between brothers Lucifer and Michael.

In Australia, Lucifer topped both charts last week, but has sunk to sixth overall with 20.84 points above market average.

The fourth series of The Handmaid’s Tale on SBS continues to do well on the charts this week, with the series based on the dystopian novel of the same name enjoying its time at the top of both New Zealand charts.

This week in Australia it is 26.27 points above average, and 20.86 points above average in New Zealand.

This season has found June Osborne finally free, however her freedom isn’t where the story ends. The fact that she has managed to escape comes with the chance to get justice for everyone victimised by Gilead.

At the top of her list of people to make pay for her suffering is Commander Fred Waterford and his wife Serena Joy.
