The Logies: No venue has been announced for Australian TV’s night of nights

Logie Awards

Last year, Seven announced the 63rd TV WEEK Logie Awards will broadcast on Seven and 7plus on Sunday, 18 June

The Logies are set to air on a new network for the upcoming 63rd annual TV Week Logie Awards, and with the big night approaching, no venue has been announced.

Last year, Seven announced the 63rd TV WEEK Logie Awards will broadcast on Seven and 7plus on Sunday, 18 June – a day before Nine’s upfront.

According to The Australian, organisers have not yet confirmed a venue. An email from January from Logies publicist Kelly Black obtained by the publication revealed that no venue has been confirmed and that more information would be revealed in the new financial year.

The 2022 Logies was a milestone year of change for Australian TV’s night of nights. The awards show marked the end of its three-year contract with the Queensland government for the awards to be on the Gold Coast.

It was also the last year for the awards to be broadcast on Nine after 27 years, with the 2023 Logies set to air on Seven.

Seven West Media managing director and chief executive officer, James Warburton, previously said of hosting the Logies: “The TV WEEK Logie Awards are more than television’s night of nights; they are a treasured Australian institution and a celebration of Australia’s love of television.

“We are honoured to be partnering with Are Media to bring the Logies to Australia on Channel Seven and 7plus. It’s early days but we have big, exciting plans for the awards in 2023 and beyond.”

Are Media chief executive officer, Jane Huxley, said: “The TV WEEK Logie Awards has become the most anticipated event of the year for the television industry as we celebrate the most popular stars and shows on our screens. We are delighted to continue our long-standing association with the awards and equally pleased to welcome the Seven Network as the Logies’ Official Broadcast Partner.”
