Swann teams up with Bunnings and The Block to showcase home security in real time

The partnership places Swann’s systems at the centre of the Daylesford build.

DIY security technology company Swann has partnered with Bunnings to become the exclusive security supplier for Nine’s The Block this season.

The partnership places Swann’s systems at the centre of the Daylesford build, where contestants are renovating five homes across the season.

Throughout the build, Swann has deployed 92 cameras across The Block’s homes and production site.

These include a range of devices, from the MaxRanger4K Long Range Wireless Solar Security Systems and AdvancedX Wired NVR Systems to SwannBuddy4K Video Doorbells and AI-enabled features via the SwannShield Voice Assistant.

Footage from Swann’s Xtreem4K Wireless Security Cameras is also being used to capture special segments, such as the “Tradie Games,” giving viewers an inside look at site activity and build progress.

Retail and marketing rollout

As part of the partnership, Bunnings stores nationwide will feature co-branded in-store signage, packaging, and point-of-sale displays labelled “As Seen on The Block.”

The retail activation is supported by an integrated marketing campaign across TV, radio, digital, in-store screens and Bunnings Magazine.

Justine Mills, General Manager of Marketing at Bunnings, said: “We are all about encouraging home D.I.Y projects and The Block is set to bring inspiration to millions of viewers. Having worked with Swann for many years, joining forces on The Block is an exciting next step, particularly given many Australians prioritise safety and security as they go through their home improvement journey.”

Beyond the show

Swann is also using the partnership to deliver additional content throughout the season, including behind-the-scenes clips and product demonstrations via its social media and digital platforms.

Each contestant couple has also received a Swann security system for their personal homes.

Alex Talevski, CEO of Swann, said: “We’re proud to be partnering with The Block and Bunnings to showcase smart, simple and powerful security systems built for the way Australians live. This partnership lets The Block viewers see Swann in action, whether it’s protecting tools, homes or the people building them. It’s an exciting new chapter for our brand.”

Swann joins a lineup of returning partners on The Block, including Domain, which has come on board for the eleventh consecutive year as the show’s exclusive property partner.

This year will also see launch of The Block’s Sponsor Village Saloon, a set of branded stores right next to the set staffed by actual staff members from their respective businesses.

When the renovators want a coffee, they pop over to the makeshift McDonald’s McCafe, staffed by actual McDonald’s staff.

Integrated into the Sponsor Village are new sponsors Bunnings and Chemist Warehouse, each with stores that the renovators can come and buy goods from. Other new sponsors this year include Google, MG Motor, Snooze, and Simparica Trio.
