The Australian Open has dominated the total TV ratings with the top two non-news segments with both night sessions of the tournament bringing in over 1.2 million viewers as Nick Kyrgios went down to Daniil Medvede in prime time.

I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! was the top entertainment program with 880,000 viewers, an increase of 21% on its overnight TV ratings. The episode saw Beau Ryan decide and leave the show, he was the fourth person in eight seasons of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!  to say the words following Bernard Tomic, Anthony Mundine and Mel Buttle.

The biggest riser was Miriam and Alan: Lost in Scotland which was up 49% after bringing in 510,000 viewers.

Overnight TV Ratings, January 27

Nine had another big win last night thanks to the Australian Open as the broadcaster continued its winning streak by having the #1 primary channel (35.8%) and network (43.1%). The big draw of the night was Ash Barty making history by being the first Australian woman to qualify for the Australian Open final. The night session had an average of 1.341m viewers watching as Barty made short work of her competition.

Day Session: 581,000 (412,000 metro & 169,000 regional)
Night Session: 1,851,000 (1,341,000 & 505,000 regional)
Night Session 2: 1,061,000 (797,000 metro & 264,000 regional)

On Seven, Mates on a Mission saw Shane Jacobson, Todd McKenney, Brian Taylor and Kris Smith take 265,000 viewers to Japan.

On 10, I am a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! was the top entertainment program of the night with an average of 498,000 viewers. The elimination of Poh Ling Yeow then had 524,000 viewers tune in.

Miriam and Alan: Lost in Scotland continued on the ABC as 215,000 viewers tuned in for the travel program starring Miriam Margolyes and Alan Cumming.

The top non-news program on SBS was A Short History of Living Longer with 128,000 viewers.
