Mummery’s appointment is effective immediately

SCA chief content officer Dave Cameron has announced that after 12 years Steve Mummery will be returning to SCA, joining the Perth Content team in the position of content strategy manager, Perth.

In his role, Mummery will work in close conjunction with SCA’s content directors, providing advice and guidance on their program and digital strategy, as well as coaching on-air talent and off-air teams.

Having spent more than a decade with SCA as a content director, Mummery led a number of teams, including Perth’s Mix 94.5, achieving Perth’s #1 radio station for 80+ consecutive surveys.

During his time in the radio industry, Mummery has held a number of leadership roles in large organisations, including heading up the Channel Seven Telethon Trust, with his team raising $180 million during his nine years as CEO. Mummery also leads a successful celebrant business where he has hitched more than 700 couples over the past five years.

“We’re excited to welcome Steve back to SCA, to work alongside our current teams at Mix 94.5 and Triple M. Steve’s previous success running Mix 94.5, delivering a record number of winning surveys, brings unrivalled experience and local knowledge to keep growing our Perth audiences,” Dave Cameron said.

Mummery said he is excited to be back on familiar ground with the SCA team, and said: “Radio is in my blood, and I’m excited to be back doing what I absolutely love.  The Perth market is full of talented individuals and I am looking forward to working with them to be passionate about creating great content.”

Mummery’s appointment is effective immediately.
