SCA has announced Stephanie ‘Stef’ Macfie has returned to SCA Hobart’s Hit100.9 and 107.3 Triple M stations as assistant content director and afternoons announcer on 107.3 Triple M from Tuesday, July 5.

Macfie returns to SCA Hobart with more than 10 years of commercial radio experience under her belt. Her radio career has seen her in an announcer role in Armidale and national nights music director and announcer in Launceston before stepping behind the microphone as Breakfast co-host at Triple M Orange (then Star FM).

Excited for her return to Hobart, Macfie said: “I am so proud to be a part of a company that sees value in supporting women’s return to work. SCA has given me the opportunity to upskill during my maternity leave and facilitated returning to a city I love and a team I’m honoured to be a part of.”

SCA Hobart content director, Phil Bradley, said: “We’re excited to have Stef joining us again in Hobart. Our whole team will benefit from her vision and leadership style, enhancing our local audio across multiple platforms into the second half of 2022 and beyond.”

Macfie moved out of the studio to take on the executive producer role from 2017-2021 at Hobart’s number 1 breakfast show, Jimmy & Nath on Hit100.9, 107.3 Triple M’s Dave & Al Show and South Australia’s SAFM breakfast show, Bec, Cosi & Lehmo before taking maternity leave.

Bringing with her many accolades including being an AFTRS content leadership graduate, Macfie is an established voice actor for audiobooks, training videos, video games, podcasts, and the friendly voice across platforms like Spotify, and car navigation systems nationwide. Macfie was also selected as one of 11 candidates to take part in SCA’s recent Women in Content Leadership Program.

Macfie’s role is effective immediately and can be heard from midday-3pm weekdays on Hobart’s 107.3 Triple M or via the LiSTNR app.
