Stan stir up the MAFS universe with new post-dinner party series

More drama loading….

Stan is extending the Married at First Sight franchise with a new exclusive companion series, repurposed as MAFS: After The Dinner Party.

The weekly spin-off will stream immediately after the main Married at First Sight dinner party episodes, offering fans a deeper dive into the moments, fallout and conversations that continue once filming wraps for the night.

It will be hosted by Jules Lund, Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne.

The move marks Stan’s latest effort to capitalise on Australia’s most talked-about reality TV property by keeping audiences engaged beyond the broadcast window on Channel 9 and 9Now.

A companion series designed for immediate engagement

MAFS: After The Dinner Party positions itself as the first and only place for unfiltered interviews with participants straight after the show’s weekly dinner parties. The series will also feature unseen footage that picks up where the main episode ends.

The format is designed to turn MAFS into a multi-platform viewing experience, keeping audiences within the franchise ecosystem while conversations are still live across social media.

Relationship expert John Aiken will also appear throughout the series, offering commentary on participant behaviour and key moments from the experiment.

Meet the hosts

Stan has leaned on established media personalities and existing fan communities to anchor the new format.

Jules Lund brings more than two decades of television and radio experience, alongside his role as founder of influencer marketing platform TRIBE. A self-described MAFS fan, Lund said the series fills a clear gap for viewers.

“This show is perfect for anyone who suffers from ‘MAFS Debrief Deficit’. If you desperately need to unpack an explosive moment but the person next to you doesn’t… you have now found your people,” Lund said.

Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne, hosts of the Life Uncut podcast, join the panel following a four-year national radio run on KIIS FM. The podcast has surpassed 100 million downloads, positioning the duo as established voices in relationship-focused commentary.

“For all those MAFS lovers, this is the extra insight you always wanted,” Hockley said. “We want to see an even more unfiltered look at what’s really going down and how people are really feeling.”

Hockley added that the series will not shy away from difficult conversations.

“MAFS has proven to be an important conversation starter, and as much as we love love and highlighting the green flags, there have been hugely controversial and inappropriate moments. The conversations that come from those moments are important in highlighting unacceptable behaviour and what is and isn’t ok in a relationship.”

Byrne said the format allows space to interrogate how participants are portrayed on screen.

“People often blame the ‘edit’ for how they are portrayed on reality TV shows, and I think it’s interesting to get to the bottom of that,” she said. “MAFS is also a huge platform for showing real-life examples of how people behave in relationships, both good and bad.”

When and where to watch

Produced by Endemol Shine Australia, MAFS: After The Dinner Party will stream exclusively on Stan from Wednesday, February 18, following the Married at First Sight dinner party episodes on Channel 9 and 9Now.
