Spotify has announced the launch of its Make Waves program in Australia, with three new Spotify Original podcasts from local Gen Z internet sensations arriving on the platform.

Social media stars Jasmine Txo, Bridey and Jiny and Hannah Pengilly all join the star-studded line up of Gen Z talent to kick off the first program down under:

All That Jazz – Skyrocketing to success with her authentic vlogs, hilarious skits and dance tutorials, Jasmine Txo brings her energising and warm vibes to our ears with All That Jazz. She sits down with diverse, inspiring and successful people to help encourage listeners to be the best versions of themselves.

Bridey & Jiny – Bridey & Jiny are like chalk and cheese, but that’s what makes their friendship so great. These two unsuspecting besties are inviting everyone into their friendship as they chat about all things cultural differences, relationships, heartbreak, school and more.

Pengo Pod – Hannah Pengilly takes listeners on a creative journey through a fictional world, where Hannah chats all things art and imagination with some of the world’s biggest artists on the internet right now.

Spotify’s Make Waves creator program is designed to teach social-first, Gen Z creators how to become podcasters, with Australia being the pilot market.

It recognises the potential of up-and-coming social creators by giving them the necessary tools to find their voice in the podcasting industry.

Leah Harris
, executive producer – Podcasts, Spotify AUNZ said: “We’re excited to announce three new Spotify Original Podcasts this week, as part of Spotify’s Australian-first ‘Make Waves’ program.

“Make Waves seeks to mentor and harness young, up-and-coming Australian talent and inspire creators to learn how to podcast.

“We are thrilled to be working with some of Australia’s favourite Gen Z talent and bringing fresh voices to Spotify Originals,” Harris added.

The launch of the new program follows the success of Australian comedic geniuses The Inspired UnemployedMillie Ford and Georgia and Lily Grace who have each taken the podcasting scene by storm with their Spotify Original podcasts after debuting their careers as internet sensations.
