QMS - Queen Street Mall in Brisbane

The new full-motion digital screen is the largest external full-motion billboard in Brisbane

QMS has unveiled a new digital billboard in the heart of Brisbane’s Queen Street Mall.

The new full-motion digital screen at 130 Queen Street measures 52 square metres and is the largest external full-motion billboard in Brisbane.

Centrally located within Brisbane CBD’s busiest entertainment and shopping precinct, “The Mall” provides 100% animation capabilities and has a unique streamline structure that dominates the pedestrian thoroughfare.

QMS’ chief executive officer, John O’Neill, said: “Queen Street Mall draws over one million people every week and is the epicentre of Brisbane’s retail precinct and home to mass fashion and luxury retailers, department stores and restaurants.

“Several leading brands have already jumped on board – including Australian streaming service Stan – to take advantage of the screen’s full-motion creative capabilities, delivering maximum impact in this high traffic area.

“Demand for full motion DOOH is high as marketers are continually looking for ways to push the creative boundaries.

“With the launch of ‘The Mall’ not only are we enhancing our premium digital network in Queensland, but we are providing more opportunities for marketers to access full-motion DOOH when combined with our Rundle Mall site in Adelaide and our national 7-Eleven digital screen network,” he said.

This comes after QMS’ partnership with Vision Australia in support of the 85th Carols by Candlelight presented by AAMI, held at Art Centre Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Christmas Eve last year.

The partnership, which spanned across the eastern seaboard, helped to sell more tickets for the event and raise vital funds to support children with vision loss and their families.

Ron Hooton, CEO of Vision Australia, said at the time: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with QMS and it’s great to have their promotional support.  Together we will reach a wider audience to encourage all Australians to support children who are blind or have low vision and their families. It’s great that QMS are giving back to the community this Christmas.”

Sara Lappage, QMS chief operating pfficer – customer, added: “We are honoured and humbled to join forces with Vision Australia to support the iconic Candles by Candlelight celebration and the remarkable work Vision Australia does to help children.”
