Prime Video and Swimming Australia have released the first look trailer for the upcoming live broadcast of the 2022 Australian Swimming Championships in Adelaide from May 18-22.

The 2022 Australian Swimming Championships will see the nation’s elite swimmers go head-to-head as they compete for their chance to represent Australia at the FINA World Swimming Championships in Budapest in June and the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in July.

As part of the exclusive two-year partnership with Swimming Australia, Prime Video will stream the 2022 Australian Swimming Championships live and exclusively in 240 countries and territories worldwide. The Prime Video commentary team is led by three-time Olympian and gold medalist Grant Hackett OAM, Olympic gold medalist Giaan Rooney OAM, triple Olympic medalist Nicole Livingstone OAM, and Paralympic gold medalist Annabelle Williams OAM. Sports broadcaster and journalist Matt White will host the coverage across five days of live swimming events, joined by veteran sports commentator Jon Harker, who will call the action.

The comprehensive Prime Video live coverage will also include a 30-minute preview show, a halftime program, and a nightly wrap-up show, featuring special guests and interviews with current and past champions. Dual Olympian Meagen Nay and dual Olympic gold medalist Britt Elmslie will provide commentary for every heat session, with veteran sports broadcaster, John Casey calling the action. Will Rollo will serve as pool deck announcer.

The livestream will run on Prime Video from Wednesday, May 18, to Sunday, May 22, with heats each morning from 9:30 a.m. AEST and the evening finals sessions from 7:00 p.m. AEST. Replays for all heats and finals will be available to stream a short time after the conclusion of each race.
