ARN’s head of digital audio, Corey Layton, said: “In 2022, Australians love of podcasts has continued to grow with our network achieving a 16% increase in listeners year on year. Our incredible slate of shows continues to entertain and educate listeners, with a wealth of innovative new shows set to soar in 2023.”

The top three publishers for November were ARN with a total of 18,302,166 monthly downloads, LiSTNR (SCA) with 9,162,834 monthly downloads, and Audioboom with 6,253,784, leaving the top three unchanged from October. SCA executive head LiSTNR Podcasts, Grant Tothill, said, “Remaining the number one podcast network in Australia, along with Hamish & Andy returning to number one, and with so many podcast titles featuring well in the ranker is a great start to the holiday season where people have more time to listen.

“LiSTNR has more titles to be published in January and February, so we look forward to another year of growth in 2023.”
