Nine and 9Now expands NRL coverage to Saturday in the lead up to the finals

• Coverage of Sharks V Dragons begins at 7 pm AEST on Nine and 9Now

Nine and 9Now are expanding its coverage to include Saturday for the rest of the NRL season in the lead-up to the finals, beginning this Saturday from 7.00 pm.

Getting into Saturday night footy fever ahead of the Sharks v Dragons local derby, Channel Nine commentator Brad Fittler said: “Four games of footy for free every week is a fantastic way of showcasing our game leading into the finals, and what better way to start than with a local derby.

“This is the best time of year as the intensity rises for all the teams chasing premiership glory,” he added.

Following the Thursday night game between the Rooster and Broncos at the Sydney Cricket Ground, which saw the Roosters win 34 to 16, is Friday night game between the Manly Sea Eagles and Parramatta Eels, will fight for a place in the finals.

The Eels have lost star halfback Mitchell Moses to injury while the Sea Eagles get the chance to take their season off life support with the return of six players who controversially stood down last week.

Saturday night will see the Sharks and Dragons clash at the Pointsbet Stadium. Nine caps off round 21 on Sunday between West Tigers and Newcastle Knights at the Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

Wrapping up the action of the week is 100% Footy, hosted by James Bracey with Phil Goud and Paul Gallen. The trio will discuss all the biggest talking points in the game on Monday Night on Channel Nine, with catch-up available on 9Now or via podcast.
