• The Cost of Living Daily Deals program offers readers exclusive discounts

News Corp Australia and Coles have launched a joint program to help readers navigate the rising cost of living by offering significant discounts on a range of everyday essentials.

The four-week Cost of Living Daily Deals program, which starts September 5, will run every day across News Corp Australia’s state-based and regional masthead. The program will offer readers exclusive offers on a host of items, from groceries, fresh fruit and vegetables to baby and health products.

News Corp Australia managing director – consumer, Mark Reinke said rising living costs had increasingly dominated the news agenda over the past few months.

“Our recently launched Smart Savers editorial series has been helping audiences combat the impact of higher bills with budget calculators, seven-day meal plans and where to find the hidden bargains. Now, we are building on that great content with special offers to save them money.

“We are delighted to partner with Coles to launch this major cost-of-living program. The strong crossover between Coles’ supermarket shoppers and our audiences makes this program particularly compelling by combining the reach of our mastheads with unbeatable offers from Coles,” he said.

All of News Corp Australia’s state-based and regional mastheads will feature a Coles Daily Deal offer in print, online and in-app each day. Readers will be able to access a barcode with each daily offer through their digital subscription or purchase of a newspaper.

Readers scan the day’s barcode, along with their Flybuys card, in Coles stores or at Coles Online to redeem the daily deal.

“Over the next month our teams will work collaboratively to unlock discounts across a range of products and services that could save readers hundreds of dollars, providing them with added value from their subscriptions,” Reinke added.

Coles chief executive, commercial & express, Leah Weckert said: “Coles is committed to always providing the best value to our customers to help their budgets go further and these meaningful offers are a great example of that.”

The Cost of Living Daily Deals program will be supported by a multi-channel marketing campaign that will run across print, digital, social, radio, and digital out-of-home.
