Mediaweek is proud to announce its first set of sponsors for the Mediaweek 100 Power Lunch on Friday, October 21 at The Crown’s Pearl Ballroom in Sydney.

Seven and the Premium Content Alliance, represented by ThinkNewsBrands, ThinkPremiumDigital, and ThinkTV, have signed on to the event as major partners. ARN and News Corp have joined the event as sponsors.

This will see these companies become the inaugural partner and sponsors, and partake in the launch of one of the industry’s premier events.

The Mediaweek 100 will showcase the 100 most powerful people in the media industry. It will also include two new lists this year: the Mediaweek Agency 50, and the Mediaweek Star Power 25.

The Mediaweek Agency 50 will name the most powerful media agency leadership & investment directors in the industry, while the Star Power 25 will showcase the best talent in both TV and audio.

These two additional lists were added to create a full picture of power and influence in the media industry since these categories are not considered for the Mediaweek 100.

For the Mediaweek 100 Power Lunch, Mediaweek has partnered with industry leading event company, Usual Suspects. Usual Suspects have worked with a raft of world class clients including Seven West Media, News Corp, AANA, ADMA, and UnLTD.

The Mediaweek 100 will be edited by Mediaweek’s editor-in-chief and publisher, James Manning, while the Agency 50 will be edited by industry legend Greg “Sparrow” Graham, and the Star Power 25 will be edited by Mediaweek editor and general manager, Trent Thomas.

Last year’s Mediaweek 100 list saw Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch, Mike Sneesby, the Stokes family, James Warburton, and Beverley McGarvey listed in the top 10 as the most powerful people in the Australian media industry.
