M+C Saatchi’s free training program registrations close tomorrow

M+C Saatchi’s seven-week Open House program is for aspiring creatives, with registrations closing on February 28.

M+C Saatchi Group’s Open House program is back.

The free, seven-week online training initiative is open to anyone interested in entering the creative communications industry, with participants given the opportunity to secure a paid internship at M+C Saatchi in 2026.

Breaking down barriers to entry

Launched in 2021, Open House was designed to widen access to advertising and marketing careers by removing traditional barriers to entry.

The initiative has been reinforced by findings from Advertising Council Australia’s Create Space census, which has consistently highlighted the need for a more diverse, inclusive and equitable industry.

Dani Bassil, CEO of M+C Saatchi ANZ, said the program is intentionally broad in its reach.

“Whether you’re a student, starting or shifting your career, returning to work after a break or simply wanting to find out more before deciding, we want your original ideas and thinking. We’d especially like to hear from people from diverse backgrounds, personal circumstances or locations,” Bassil said.

She added that the program has already led to tangible outcomes for participants.

“The first Open House program resulted in M+C Saatchi Group recruiting eight incredible people to its family.

“We aim to build on this, because breaking down barriers to entry has never been more important. We’re opening the doors for prospective talent who may never have thought about a career in the creative communications industry,” Bassil said.

Seven weeks of industry exposure

The program is delivered through live, weekly interactive webinars, which are also recorded and made available on demand.

Industry specialists share knowledge across CX, design, strategy, creative, storytelling, media, data and innovation. Participants also work on a real client brief with guidance from mentors across the M+C Saatchi Group.
