Maxine Fourie has been appointed Head of Social at Are Media, effective immediately.
Reporting to Zahra Campbell-Avenell, Head of Audience, Fourie will oversee Are Media’s social strategy and execution across platforms. Her remit includes growing brand communities, deepening consumer engagement, and strengthening platform partnerships.
Fourie joins during a period of growth for Are Media’s social channels, which now reach over 21 million followers across brands such as The Australian Women’s Weekly, marie claire, and Better Homes and Gardens.
She brings more than a decade of experience in social media and content marketing. Most recently, Fourie was Social & Digital Brand Manager at Collective Wellness Group, where she led digital strategy for Anytime Fitness’ national campaigns and developed scalable frameworks for franchise and consumer-facing content.
Prior to that, she held senior roles at The Social Seed and began her media career at Bauer Media Group in New Zealand.
